Tree Top Ziplining

Before we left West Virginia, Keri was able to get all the boys out on a private Tree Top Adventures ziplining session.

Divagirl and I went into town and hung out at the old fashioned Ben Franklin store. I thought they had closed them all! It was a walk down memory lane.

The boys really enjoyed zipping from tree to tree – there were about 10-12 ziplines throughout the tree canopy, and each one varied in length and speed. Having a private tour, with just the boys and two guides, made it even more awesome.

Rock Climbing

We had originally planned to go white water rafting, but overnight, the water level on New River increased by about 5 feet, which was a little unexpected. Due to the peanut child and the inexperience of all of us, Keri felt it would be better if we skipped rafting for the day.

Instead we, made a trip to the New River National River visitor’s center and got the kids’ passports stamped and observed the river from above.

It looked pretty powerful, even at a distance.
Good call!

After milling around the visitor center, and waiting for Jason to finish up some remote work, we all piled into Keri’s car and headed down the lower valley to get a closer look.
