We left Ohio and quickly made our way through Indiana by way of Indianapolis. We stopped for the night just outside of Peoria, Illinois at a park called Kamp Komfort. It was in the middle of a cornfield, but that’s not saying much, as there’s very little besides cornfields in central Illinois :)
The caretaker didn’t answer the phone so we took our chances and just pulled-in, hoping they had a site with full hook-ups; they had a pull-through spot for us with full hookups that would allow us to keep our toad connected. It was perfect! The park was older but very well-tended and eerily quiet.
We got there early in the day so Jason had plenty of time to work after we hooked up and cranked the air conditioning.
The next morning we headed to Iowa, woohoo!
